WHY SUBSCRIBE?
This Substack exists to help me create extra depth to my existing combat sports content while leaning into a more comprehensive style of coverage that incorporates disparate interests in tech, fitness, political commentary and more.
There are three reasons powering all of this.
First, this platform allows me to leverage a series of unique tools - live video, audio/video, writing, newsletters, rich community functionality - that maximize my ability to make a full suite of dynamic, valuable media and coverage. This can also be accomplished without being constrained by artificial incentives of platform algorithms.
Second, we are living through turbulent times and need media outlets equipped to match the moment. Here I can cover stories with a wider topical lens than a narrow focus on a single industry.
Lastly - and perhaps most importantly - your subscription allows me to remain an independent voice in media, something sorely needed in both sports and beyond.
This is a chance to do more integrated coverage the right way: honestly, thoroughly and presented to passionate audiences who crave a new kind of coverage that matches our unusual moment.
WHAT DOES A SUBSCRIPTION GET ME?
Access to a passionate community of informed and thoughtful fans, readers and other enthusiasts. Subscribers will also get all of my YouTube videos ad free, exclusive access to Fight Day watchalong broadcasts as well as written op-eds and newsletters. Subscribers will also get access to interviews within and beyond the realm of combat sports including economists, tech journalists, fitness experts, political scientists, book authors and more.
And as a reminder: your subscription helps keep my voice and work here independent.
