Tesla's past as the vanguard for the electrical car revolution isn't in question, but as Elon Musk's wealth and political partisanship grows, there is more uncertainty about Tesla's future than ever.
Great interview Luke, it’s refreshing to see you use your interview skills on someone who isn’t a fighter or trainer. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you do next on this platform.
Tesla is fucked in Europe. We don't joke about Nazi salutes.
Some will continue to buy, more will continue to vandalise.
Americans, being Americans, blow them up. Fair play for not fucking about.
We're a bit more pragmatic in Scotland. A sharp tool run hard along it's side does the job. No one wants a scratched car.
Is it hard in customers? Absolutely. Collateral damage. But it'll be Elon's customers, not misidentified migrants, who are collateral damage on this island.
It's a shame that Elon is dragging down the Tesla brand. They've been building a distributed virtual power plant network using their solar panels and battery storage which I think is really exciting. It helped a lot of homes maintain power during blackouts by borrowing power from others in the network. Tesla needs to do what SpaceX does and have an actual competent CEO that can run things properly.
Electrek is the last source I’d look for any sort of unbiased Tesla news….that being said Chinese EVs have some serious advantages over Tesla, but if the US isn’t cool with allowing Chinese drones in the US (DJI) why the hell would we be ok with cars?

I am very excited for the content on your substack Luke if you are going to do more stuff like this. Really enjoyed this!

Elon definitely needs a new grift. This was well worth the watch.
Such a great listen
Awesome interview

I found Fred’s thoughts to be reasonably fair
Never were. BYD is so good that America doesn’t allow them to be imported.
