Loved Jordan Breen. Crazy how much he got me into this sport. He was a giant of a personality but would still respond to every email I sent him back in the day. I am a no one from no where and Jordan answered one of my questions about Anthony Pettis after he lost to RDA at UFC 185. Such a random thing but you best believe that Jordan Breen had time for a regular fan. Just trying to keep up with his knowledge(depth and breadth) was impossible, but, like Loog said, he was relatable. What a freaking OG legend!
I think everyone has had the experience of their buddy being so into something that their excitement and passion was almost infectious and forced you to pay attention to something you never really cared for. For a lot of people Jordan Breen was that buddy. Luke once made a great point one time on the live chat how the real love of his life is fighting and I think so many of us can agree. Almost nothing in life gets me just as excited or nervous as a high level prize fight and I think a lot of us ‘owe’ Jordan Breen for igniting that passion. Fighting is the thing I enjoy most in this world and I don’t think I learn that about myself without Jordan Breen. Feel like he was a relic of when fighting was better, the sport mattered more and unique voices were the accelerant for mma fandom. The realest to ever do it.
